Each kW of panels makes roughly sun hours × 0.8 units a day. With 5 sun hours that is about 4 units a day, or 120 a month. So 480 units a month (80% of a 600-unit bill) needs about 4 kW, which is seven 580-watt panels.
The saving here counts only the units you no longer buy from the grid at your price per unit. Net metering rules and buy-back rates change, so they are left out; batteries, which add cost, are not counted either. Get two or three installer quotes and put their price per kW in the calculator.
Write the solar cost and the monthly bill in Munshi's kharcha, and the munafa page shows what the system really saves.
Monthly units ÷ 30 ÷ sun hours ÷ about 0.8 (losses). 600 units a month with 5 sun hours needs about 5 kW.
System cost ÷ monthly saving. It is shorter when the unit price is high and you use the power in the day.
No. Net metering rules and buy-back rates change, so the saving here counts only the units you no longer buy.
