Reorder point = daily sales × (delivery days + safety days). Selling 10 a day with a 3-day delivery and 2 days' buffer, order when you are down to 50. The buffer covers a busy day or a late supplier.
How much to order = enough for the days until the next order, plus the delivery and buffer days, less what you have. Fast items deserve small, frequent orders; slow ones should not be bought in bulk just for a discount.
In Munshi you set a low-stock level on each item, and the reorder list fills itself as you sell.
The stock level at which you order again: daily sales × days the supplier takes to deliver, plus a safety buffer. Selling 10 a day with a 3-day delivery and 2 days' buffer, reorder at 50.
Enough for the days until your next order, less what you still have. Ordering for 7–15 days at a time is common for kiryana stock.
Sales jump on some days and suppliers are late on others. A few days' buffer stops empty shelves, which lose customers as well as the sale.
