Cloth needed depends on the customer's size, the design and the cloth width. Wide cloth lets you cut pieces side by side, while narrow cloth needs more length. Enter the lengths your own patterns use for kameez, shalwar and dupatta, and add a little for shrinkage and cutting.
Quote cloth, lining, stitching and extras separately. The customer sees why a designer suit costs more, and you never forget the buttons, piping or the urgent charge.
Munshi's tailor tools keep each customer's measurements, the order slip with the delivery date, and the advance taken.
It depends on the customer's size, the design and the cloth width. Many tailors work with roughly 2.5 metres for the kameez and 2 to 2.5 for the shalwar; use the lengths from your own patterns.
Narrow cloth needs more length for the same garment. Wide cloth (about 54 inches) lets you cut more pieces side by side.
Your labour for the design, plus extras like lining, piping, buttons, embroidery and urgent delivery. List them separately so the customer sees why.
