A carton of formal shoes arrives from the factory. You open the design once, tap "Gents shoes" to fill sizes 6 to 11, add black and brown, and type how many pairs came in each box. Every pair gets its own barcode sticker, so the size is never guessed at the counter.
On a busy Chand Raat evening a customer tries a size 8, then wants a 9. You take the 8 back as a return from the first bill and scan the 9 onto a new one. At night the stock screen shows which sizes are finished in each design, so the next order to the factory is for the sizes that actually sell.
