Fresh milk, dahi, butter, desi ghee and drinks a dairy shop sells, and how to keep monthly milk customers on a khata.

A milk shop has two kinds of customers: walk-in people who buy a litre of doodh or half a kg of dahi, and households that take milk every day and pay at the end of the month.
What is in the Milk / dairy shop list
This is the starting list Munshi adds when you choose Milk / dairy shop: 15 items in 3 sections, each with its Urdu and English name and the right unit. Prices are left for you, because they differ from city to city.
| Section | Examples | Items |
|---|---|---|
| Milk | Fresh Milk, Milk Pack, Buffalo Milk, Cow Milk | 4 |
| Dahi & butter | Dahi, Lassi, Butter, Desi Ghee, Cream (Balai) | 7 |
| Drinks | Milk Soda, Milkshake, Kheer, Falooda | 4 |
You can rename, delete or add items at any time, and add a second list if you sell more than one kind of goods.
Tips for this kind of shop
- Put monthly milk households on udhaar and let the app add each day's litres, so the month-end bill is ready.
- Sell fresh milk by the litre and dahi, butter and ghee by the kg.
- Track lassi and milk soda separately in summer; they carry better margins than plain milk.
