A sabzi shop changes its rates every morning after the mandi. Potatoes, onions and tomatoes move the most, while bananas and kinnow are sold by the dozen. Writing the rate on a card is easy; remembering what you paid is the hard part.
What is in the Fruit & vegetables list
This is the starting list Munshi adds when you choose Fruit & vegetables: 34 items in 2 sections, each with its Urdu and English name and the right unit. Prices are left for you, because they differ from city to city.
| Section | Examples | Items |
|---|---|---|
| Vegetables | Potato (Aloo), Onion (Pyaz), Tomato, Garlic (Lehsan), Ginger (Adrak) | 20 |
| Fruit | Apple (Saib), Banana (Kela), Mango (Aam), Kinnow, Malta | 14 |
You can rename, delete or add items at any time, and add a second list if you sell more than one kind of goods.
Tips for this kind of shop
- Update the morning rate for your top ten items in one screen; everything else can keep yesterday's price.
- Sell bananas, kinnow and malta by the dozen and the rest by the kg, the way customers ask for them.
- Write the mandi bill as stock received, so your daily profit is worked out from what you actually paid.
