How it works on a normal day

The room board shows which rooms and beds are free, booked or occupied. A guest arrives, you check them in with their CNIC and an advance, and the room turns busy on the board.

Food, laundry and other charges are added to the room as they happen. At check-out Munshi adds the nights, takes off the advance and prints the bill. For a hostel or PG, the monthly rent for every resident is added in one tap at the start of the month, and the dues list shows who hasn't paid.
