Hotel, hostel and PG: rooms, rent and the guest register

A room board that shows who is where, check-in with CNIC, monthly rent for hostel residents in one tap, and the police register ready to print.

Whether you run a twenty-room hotel near the bus stand or a girls' hostel near a university, the questions are the same every day: which rooms are free, who hasn't paid, and is the register up to date for the police?

The room board

Every room shows as a coloured box: green for empty, red for occupied, amber while it is being cleaned. Occupied rooms show the guest's name. At the top you see today's takings and the total due from guests. Tap an empty room to check someone in.

A shared hostel room can be split into beds, and each bed is given to a different resident.

Checking in

Write the guest's name, CNIC, mobile and city, choose the room and the rate, and take an advance if you want. If the guest has stayed before, their CNIC finds them. For hostel students you can also write a guardian.

If a booking is for a later date, it is kept as a booking, and Arrived turns it into a check-in. The same room can't be given twice for the same dates.

During the stay

Food, laundry and anything else are added to the room as they happen. Payments go in the same place, so the balance is always the charges minus what has been paid.

Checking out

For a hotel stay, Munshi counts the nights and adds the rent. The bill shows every charge and payment, and the rest is taken there. If the guest paid more in advance than they used, you can give it back. The room goes to cleaning until staff mark it ready.

Monthly rent for hostels and PGs

At the start of each month press Run monthly rent and every monthly resident is charged once. Pressing it twice by mistake does not charge them twice. The Dues list shows everyone who owes, with a WhatsApp reminder link.

The register

The guest register lists every guest by date, with CNIC, address, room and dates. It prints in a form you can hand over for the police record.

The Hotel module is Rs 499 a month after the free trial.
