Software for jewellers: daily rate, tola-masha-ratti and old gold
Write the day's gold rate once and every bill uses it, with wastage, making, stones, old gold exchange and karigar gold kept by weight.

A jeweller's bill has more parts than almost any other: the gold at today's rate, wastage, making, stones, old gold taken in exchange, and sometimes the customer's own gold kept with you from before. Doing it on a calculator works until the customer asks you to explain each number.
The day's rate
Each morning, write the 24K rate per tola (and silver if you sell it). 22K, 21K and 18K are worked out from it, or you can type your own. If you forget, the bill screen shows a red warning that the rate is not today's.
Weights are kept in grams and shown in tola, masha and ratti as well, so both you and the customer read the number the way you are used to.
How a piece is priced
Net weight is the gross weight less the stones. Gold is the net weight at the rate for its karat. Wastage (kaat) is a percentage of the same. Making (banwai) is per gram or a fixed amount. Stones are added at their price. The bill shows each part on its own line.
Tags and stock
Every piece has a tag number, its weight, karat, wastage and making. The stock list shows what each piece is worth at today's rate. Tags print on a sheet.
Old gold
When a customer brings old gold against a new piece, write its weight, karat and the melting deduction. Munshi works out the fine weight and its value and takes it off the bill. If you buy old gold over the counter, the seller's CNIC is required and goes into the old gold register.
Orders and karigars
For an order, write what to make, the weight, the delivery date and the advance. If the customer gives their own gold, it is kept by weight. Gold given to a karigar is recorded, and when the piece comes back it is weighed, the allowed wastage is written off and the labour is entered. The customer can get a WhatsApp message when it is ready.
Who sees what
The ready-made Jewellery Salesman role can make bills and take orders but can't see costs or change the rate.
The Jewellers module is Rs 499 a month after the free trial.
