Tailor shop software: the measurement book and stitching orders

Every customer's naap kept safe, orders with trial and delivery dates, karigar slips and a message when the suit is ready.

For a tailor, the measurement copy is the business. Lose it, or misread one number, and a suit has to be stitched again. In the weeks before Eid, the order book becomes the second thing that can't be lost.

The measurement book

Each customer has a measurement book with a page per garment: shalwar kameez, kurta, pant shirt, waistcoat, sherwani and ladies' suits. One customer can have measurements for several people, so the father, his sons and his wife all sit under one name.

Taking an order

When a customer brings cloth, take the order with the garment, the design notes, the trial date and the delivery date. The measurements are copied into the order from the book, so a change later won't change an order already given. Take an advance, which goes into the customer's khata.

The slip and the karigar

The slip prints with a copy for the karigar, so he has the measurements and design in his hands. You assign each order to a karigar and see what everyone is working on.

Ready and delivered

When a suit is ready, mark it and the customer gets a message. When they collect, the order becomes a bill and the advance is taken off.
