Refer & earn: Munshi credit for every paying shop

Most shopkeepers find Munshi the same way: a friend shows it to them on his phone. The supplier who makes his bills in two taps, the cousin who sends udhaar reminders on WhatsApp, the medical store next door that knows exactly what expires next month. We would rather thank those people than spend the money on ads, so every Munshi shop now earns credit for the shops it brings.

How it works

1. Share your link or code. Open More → Refer & earn in the app. You will see your own link, a short code and a QR code. Tap Share on WhatsApp, or print the counter poster and put it where suppliers and other shopkeepers can see it.
2. Your friend tries Munshi free. They sign up with your link, or type your code at sign-up. The free trial is the same as anyone's. Nothing is counted yet.
3. They pay, you earn. When their shop pays its first Munshi bill with its own money, you get credit equal to that payment (up to a limit), added a week later. A friend who only signs up and never pays does not count. That keeps the programme fair for everyone.

What the credit does

The credit sits in your Refer & earn page, next to the list of shops you brought and where each one is: joined, on trial, paid, credit on the way, or credit earned. When your own plan bill comes, the credit pays it by itself. If it covers the whole bill, your plan simply renews. The credit is for Munshi bills only, not cash.

Who to tell

• Your suppliers and dealers. They visit ten shops a day and many still write bills by hand.
• Shops near you that ask how you keep udhaar so neat.
• Family businesses: a cousin's medical store, an uncle's hardware shop, a friend's restaurant.
• Your own WhatsApp groups of traders in your market.

Fair play

A shop with the same owner, the same mobile number, email or NTN as yours is checked by the Munshi team before any credit is given. A payment that is refunded does not count. These rules keep the credit real for shopkeepers who actually bring new shops.
