Money stuck in stock you cannot sell — and running out of what customers ask for — are the two most common losses in a shop. Munshi's Maal and Kharidari tools fix both.
Stock that follows every bill
Every sale takes stock out, every delivery puts it in, and every item keeps its average cost. Open Stock to see what you have in each shop or godown, and its value.
Receive maal by scanning
When the dealer's delivery arrives, open Maal aaya and scan each item: every scan adds one; then type the real quantity if it is a carton. New items can be added on the spot. Enter the dealer's price and Munshi puts the amount on the dealer's khata (or records that you paid).
Count stock in minutes
Stock count works the same way: scan what is on the shelf and Munshi shows the difference with the system. Damage and expiry are written off with a reason, so you know what was lost.
"Kya mangwana hai?"
The reorder list looks at how fast each item sells, how many days your dealer takes to deliver and what you already have or have ordered, and suggests how much to order. One tap turns it into a purchase order.
Purchase orders to dealers
Send the order on WhatsApp, download it as Excel for B2B apps, and when the maal arrives, receive it against the order — Munshi shows what is still to come.
If your dealer also uses Munshi, connect on the Munshi Network: the order goes straight into their app and their bill comes back into your stock and khata. (See our post on Munshi Network.)
Compare dealer prices
Save price lists from several dealers and Munshi shows who is cheapest for each item — and can split one order across the cheapest dealers.
More than one shop?
Move stock between branches and godowns with transfers, and see stock per location.
Tip: set a "low stock" level on your top 30 items. The home screen then tells you every morning what is running out.
